Following a 19-10 campaign, Hall of Famer, Tom Seaver won the second Cy Young award of his career. He was dominant throughout the year, leading the NL in ERA(2.08), complete games(18) and strikeouts(251). He became the 4th pitcher to ever win the award multiple times, joining Sandy Koufax, Bob Gibson and Denny McLain.
He went on to pitch until the age of 41, posting a record of 311-205 with a 2.86 ERA and 3,640 strikeouts. He would get elected to the Hall of Fame in the class of 1992.
